Celebrating 40 years with Fawcetts

Glynis Newman works with a variety of clients steering them through the complex world of tax.  Glynis joined, what was Fawcett, Brown and Pinniger, on August the 9th 1976 joining us straight from South Wilts Grammar School.

In those days, Elton John and Kiki Dee topped the hit parade. Punk arrived in the shape of the Sex Pistols. The fall and rise of Reginald Perrin debuted on the BBC and the record hot summer contributed to the year being remembered as a very happy one.

The arrival of Glynis fresh from school was to be the beginning of a very happy time for us as well. In Glynis we found someone who was both thoughtful and caring. These natural skills coupled with her developing tax expertise made for, what was at the time, a refreshing mix.

Richard Allen, joint managing partner said “Glynis’ loyalty and commitment to her clients and us is something we are very proud of. Fawcetts has always prided itself on providing personal tailored advice and expertise to its clients and in Glynis we have someone who is the perfect embodiment of our approach to work. Her approach to her clients over the last 40 years has, in no small measure, helped to shape us into the firm we are today.”

Fawcetts staff will be celebrating with Glynis over the summer.
